Titan Fitness & Martial Arts is proud to announce the addition of Tyler Saltsman to our staff as Titan’s new Wrestling coach. Tyler is a four-time state champion from New Hampshire. He is a former Penn State wrestler who is now going to pursue an MMA career through his training at Titan. With the addition of Tyler, the mixed martial arts program becomes even more enhanced as he brings a wealth of knowledge to improve every student’s ground skills. Tyler Saltsman started wrestling in 6th grade losing only three matches during his middle school career while capturing two state titles and a New England title. Tyler went on to win state titles in all four years of high school becoming only the second wrestler in the history of the state of New Hampshire to be a four-time state champion. Tyler was also a New England champion and was the only wrestler ever in his school’s history to win 50 straight matches in one season. Tyler compiled a high school record of 168-9 and was a high school All-American. Tyler was also honored with selection into the High School Wrestling Hall of Fame.
Tyler selected Penn State to pursue his college wrestling career. He redshirted at Penn State during his freshman year and my sophomore year. After his sophomore year season Tyler won a wrestle off and started for the Nittany Lions posting a winning record until deciding to leave the team to pursue his MMA career at Titan where he also serves as the Titan Wrestling coach.
