<p class="MsoNormal">Kathy Morrow is the youth Jeet Kune Do instructor at Titan Fitness and Martial Arts.  Kathy began studying martial arts under Sifu Bill Gebhardt in April 2000, in the Women’s Kickboxing and Jeet Kune Do programs of the State College Martial Arts Academy. Two years later, she started working as an instructor of Kickboxing and Youth Jeet Kune Do, and continued to teach as the SCMAA facility transitioned to Titan Fitness.<span> </span>In addition, Kathy has designed and instructed martial arts self -defense workshops and classes for women and youth in the community, including PSU students, Girl Scouts, summer camps, and middle school physical education.<span> </span>Kathy has worked with youth and families in such roles as counselor, teacher, scout leader, and parent educator. She is currently the coordinator of specials classes and the Extended School Program at the Centre Learning Community Charter School.   Kathy is the mother of three sons:  a teenager and twin toddlers.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Titan Fitness &amp; Martial Arts beginner classes for the fall semester are starting this week.  The following is the schedule for the beginner classes:</p>
<p>Women&#8217;s Kickboxing:  Monday, Wednesday, &amp; Friday 6 PM to 7 PM (starting Monday, August 31)<br />
Boxing:  Monday &amp; Wednesday 7:30 to 8:30 PM and Friday 6 PM to 7 PM (starting Monday, August 31)<br />
Mixed Martial Arts &amp; Thai Boxing:  Tuesday and Thursday 6:30 to 8 PM (starting Tuesday, September 1)<br />
Filipino Martial Arts:  Tuesday &amp; Thursday 5 PM to 6:30 PM (starting Tuesday, September 1)</p>
<p>If you have already signed up for one of these classes, we will see you this Monday or Tuesday.  If you haven&#8217;t signed up yet, a few spots are still available in each class.  To sign up for one of our classes, schedule your free lesson by calling us at 814/235-1015 or by emailing us at info@titanfitness.com.  Free lessons occur during actual class times now that classes will be underway.  We will be accepting new students over the coming weeks.  We look forward to seeing you in class and hearing from those you who want to schedule your free lessons.</p>

<p>Bruce Lombard is the adult martial arts director at Titan Fitness &amp; Martial Arts and a Certified Coach in Combat Submission Wrestling (CSW). CSW is an MMA fighting system developed by legendary Shooto (MMA) World Champion and world-renowned MMA coach, <a href="http://erikpaulson.com/">Erik Paulson</a>. Mr. Lombard is also a certified instructor in Bruce Lee’s Jeet Kune Do.  Mr. Lombard teaches the <a href="http://www.titanfitness.com/blog/mixed-martial-arts/mixed-martial-arts">mixed martial arts</a>, <a href="http://www.titanfitness.com/blog/boxing/thai-boxing">Thai Boxing</a>, and <a href="http://www.titanfitness.com/blog/boxing/womens-kickboxing">women&#8217;s kickboxing</a> classes and oversees all adult and youth martial arts programs.</p>
<p>Coach Lombard’s involvement with martial arts started in 1994. Since then Lombard has trained in multiple disciplines including Thai Boxing, Boxing, Catch Wrestling, Shooto, Jiu-Jitsu, Wrestling, Jeet Kune Do, and Wing Chun. In addition to Erik Paulson, Bruce has trained under world acclaimed fighters and coaches Greg Nelson, Sean Sherk, Rico Chipparelli, Dan Inosanto, Ajarn Chai Sirisute, Francis Fong, and Bill Gebhardt.</p>
<p>Mr. Lombard has competed in Muay Thai Kickboxing events and Submission Grappling tournaments. Currently he dedicates his time to teaching CSW and Thai Boxing. Coach Lombard also coaches and corners men and women athletes competing in Thai Boxing, Submission Grappling, and MMA events. His fighters have been very successful in the ring, in the cage, and on the mat.</p>
<p>Bruce aims to carry out the legacy of his late friend and martial arts instructor, Sifu Bill Gebhardt (1/27/64–9/17/2002). Gebhardt’s mission was to help others reach their physical potential as martial artists, as well as understanding the tradition, etiquette, and humility of the martial arts.</p>

We also offer personal and small group fitness and martial arts lessons to better suit your individual goals and schedules.</p>

<p>Women’s Kickboxing is a program based on the skill set that makes up the art of Thai Boxing, the national martial art and sport of Thailand.  The class combines a progression of Thai Boxing skills in a gradually more challenging workout environment.  The goals of this program are suited to give individuals the opportunity to learn effective self defense skills while increasing fitness levels.  The program can also be utilized as a stepping stone for those women with higher martial arts aspirations.  The class consists of a warm up, kickboxing training segment, and abdominal training.</p>

<p>Titan Fitness Martial Arts classes include a full membership to Lionheart Fitness, a state of the art facility on Sowers St in downtown State College between College Avenue and Beaver Avenue.  In addition to the Cage, Ring, Grappling Room, and striking pads, the facility also has over 50 cardio machines, a killer power rack, free weights, medicine balls, clean locker rooms, sauna and shower facilities. Not to meantion over 50 parking spaces. A complete fighter need good cardio and quality strength training that a facility like this one can provide.</p>

<p><strong>Note</strong>:  Personal Training, Group Fitness, and Private &amp; Small Group Martial Arts and Boxing lessons are available by appointment.</p>
