Titan Fitness offers the opportunity to all new and existing members to learn, train, and team with the most experienced and competition tested MMA and Muay Thai staff in the State College and Penn State University region. All Titan Fitness instructors have not just talked about it, they have actually tested themselves in competition in one or both of these combat sports. Head MMA and Muay Thai instructor, Bruce Lombard, is a Level 2 Coach under Combat Submission Wrestling(CSW) fighting system founder and MMA former World Champion, Erik Paulson. Coach Lombard also has Muay Thai ring experience. Assistant Instructor’s include: Tyler Higgins, Muay Thai and MMA fighter; Tyler Saltsman, MMA fighter; Mike Putnam, Muay Thai and MMA fighter; Shawn Slater, Muay Thai fighter; Kristen Althouse, Muay Thai fighter; Allison Glenny, Muay Thai fighter.
Titan Fitness and Martial Arts continues to be the leader in the State College and the Centre region for MMA and Muay Thai development. TeamTitan, located in downtown State College(127 Sowers Street), has developed over a dozen competitve amateur MMA and Muay Thai fighters in the last four years. These dedicated athletes have combined for a 19-9-3 overall record against strong fighters from Philadelphia and Boston, and gyms from Deleware, New Jersey, Maryland, Ohio, Michigan, New York, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania.

We have just released our Fall 2010 class schedule, our most ambitious schedule to date. We are offering our standard classes in mixed martial arts, women’s kickboxing, and boxing. Titan Fitness Muay Thai fighter, Corey Tilghman, won by TKO in the second round of his Thai Boxing fight on October 31, 2009. Corey controlled and dominated his opponent for two rounds before the fight was stopped at the end of the second round. Corey is a State College resident and Penn State student. He has been training at Titan Fitness for about one year. This was Corey’s second Thai Boxing event. He will be fighting again in January of 2010.
Titan Fitness, located in downtown State College, sent four of their amateur Muay Thai athletes to fight in Philadelphia at the renowned “Evolved Fighting” Thai Boxing event. Steve Mayzack, Jay Kearns, Mike Putnam, and Tyler Higgins fought some tough competition against opponents from Boston, Philadelphia, and Reading. Collectively the fighter’s, who have been training with Bruce Lombard at Titan for less than one year, had an impressive showing going 2-1-1.
Mayzack, Putnam, and Kearns are all Penn State University students, as Tyler Higgins is a college student at Lock Haven University.
